Three Kadungure brothers from Epworth are reported to have attacked and destroyed MDC supporter Wonder Karupoto’s house on Friday, 29 June 2012 at Chikandiwa Village in Headman Nyamombe's area, in Makoni.

The house was razed to the ground level, by the  ZANU PF supporters who were said to have from Epworth to attend a funerald at Chikandiwa Village.

Heal Zimbabwe Trust reports that upon being told by other villagers that Mr Karupoto was an MDC supporter Joshua Kadungure, Gilbert Kadungure, Dennis Kadungure and five others who have yet to be identified started insulting him with obscenities and threatened to beat him up.

Mr Karupoto sensed danger and left the funeral for his own stand where sought refuge in his hut.

But the perpetrators followed him and demanded that he come out  and surrender his party regalia, which he refused.

When the victim refused to come out they set his hut alight, destroying all the property inside.

It is alleged that when the hut was on fire the assailants ran away, leaving Mr. Karupoto to escape the fire through the window, suffering minor injuries in the process.

A police report was been made at Chitenderano Police Station and people are still waiting for action from the police to apprehend all the perpetrators.
