The District Chair Khama Matambanadzo died of diabetis-related complications, which, according to the vice-chair, Washington Ali, left a gap which will never be filled.
Then before he was even buried the district has lost Bernard Hukwa (r), a strong activist and a secretary for Central London Branch, thus piling up the difficult circumstances for South East District.

He urged Southeast District membership and friends other Districts to come and pay your last respect and celebrate Bernard Hukwa's shor life as an activist.
"I know our beloved brothers would have loved to continue fighting until a New Zimbabwe is realised but that did not happen, so it is now our duty to continue with this struggle until Zimbabwe is liberated."
He also encourage those branches that had paid their $50 support contributions to do do through the District or Central London Branch and advice the treasurer.
