"Everyone should stop focusing so much on Mugabe, because it's the JOC, the JOC is the key.
Instead of Mugabe's face on CNN and BBC, we should be seeing the faces of the [seven] leaders of the JOC. Mugabe is in fact a puppet of the security structures, the creature of the violence, as much a victim of their campaign as the MDC. They hide under his skirts and before long they'll dump him and get another figure up there." - Professor John Makumbe 2 Years Ago. "Zanu (PF) Cannot Privatise Heroism" Oh! Yes It Can: "Sabina Mugabe Is Automatic Heroine"
Now the Supreme Court seems to have confirmed this position with its reserved judgement on Roy Bennett, clearly awaiting orders from on-high. The Judges are well-aware that the continued failure to acquit Bennett is adversely affecting his taking up his Ministerial post, but they have still chosen to postpone the judgement indefinitely. Yet when it suites Zanu (PF) judgements are rushed through the courts and they are even made to seat at awkward times. |
